Eastsound is a very walkable village, with it’s own bars, restaurants, and 2 grocery stores. That said, one of the reasons we love Orcas Island is the natural beauty of the island outside of town. A car isn’t required on island, but it’s difficult to explore the rest of the island without transportation. There is plenty of street parking in town, and the Outlook Inn also has a large parking lot.

Short answer - no. There is a shuttle bus that runs around the island in the summertime, and the odd taxi here and there but there isn’t a reliable way to get around the island car free.

To give all our guests the opportunity to celebrate without having to worry about little eyes and ears, we politely request no children.

We’re going to party in style, formal attire recommended.

Portions of the ceremony and cocktail hour will be outside, while the reception will be indoors.

While we can’t control the weather (though it would make Mitch’s job easier), we’re hoping for sunshine. The average high that time of year is about 60°. If we do get rain, we’ve got backup indoor options for everything.

Seattleites pride themselves on getting by with a rain jacket no matter the weather. It’s a running joke that you can pick out the tourists when it rains because they’re the only ones using umbrellas. If you want to live like a local, we recommend rocking the gore-tex instead.
