Feeling like venturing further?

The ferry system between islands is free (not to the mainland and back). Friday Harbor on San Juan Island is the most popular destination in the San Juan Islands, but it’s also fun to hop on a ferry to another island and hop right back on to Orcas Island. Car spots can be hard to come by on the ferries, so we recommend parking at the ferry landing (there is free day parking) and walking on. Be sure to check the return ferry schedule, while they do run fairly frequently there can be longer gaps between runs at times.
